service represents the capability to provide additional security services, as
needed, in order to facilitate inter-domain information exchanges. These
additional security services may not typically be required for intra-domain
exchanges
The
additional security services that must be provided for Inter-Domain security
are:

Confidentiality
·
Credential Conversion
·
Delegation
·
Firewall Transversal
·
Identity Mapping
·
Security against Denial of Service
Additionally,
a much more robust audit mechanism should be instituted at the inter-domain
boundaries.
