Sources of Definitions
Where possible, formal standard definitions were used for the
glossary terms. However, some very useful and/or commonly used
terms do not have standard definitions: in these cases, the
definitions are based on Web-based glossaries, commercial vendor
sites, and, in some cases, expert opinion (labeled "Common Usage").
Disclaimer: We are attributing the sources of each
definition and actively pursuing getting permission to use the
definitions.
