Any computer software, such as Netscape® Navigator®
or Microsoft Internet Explorer®, that can be used to view documents on the
Internet. Web browsers interpret the HTML computer language and display Web
text and images. Not all Web browsers interpret HTML the same way. Thus, the
exact same file may display differently when viewed on different Web browsers.
Browsers are often referred to as “client software.”
