IEC TC57 WG18 is tasked with making recommendations
and standards for communication with hydroelectric power plants. The
development of the standard is requirements-driven but through participation of
WG members familiar with IEC 61850, a high degree of re-use and compatibility
with IEC 61850 is anticipated.
